An extraordinarily biased review of THE DARK KNIGHT
It was really, really, really good.
Most important blog of the day, obviously.
I kinda freaked out when i saw this tweet this morning, cause i think about this episode all the time. I even tried to do some research on it once, but then decided i’d rather not know if it was true or not. The prospect of finding out that Batman lied to me was not one i was interested in.
Weirdly, this is one of the things that stuck with me about that show too, and even then, I recall thinking “I have definitely read in dreams before, what the hell is Batman talking about.”

This is amazing! From Comics Alliance:
I don’t know where this came from originally, or whether it is natural, but I choose to believe that this bear with a Batman symbol on its chest has been gifted and cursed with a sacred mission of vengeance, to serve as the silent protector and Dark Knight of whatever zoo, forest, or arctic tundra he roams. And we’ll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he’s not a hero… He’s a bear. [via SardonicRocketeer]
Paging Grant Morrison, please pick up the white courtesy Batphone, we have a job applicant for Batman Inc.
Dark Knight Returns, Batman Beyond and Batman Animated Skins for ‘Arkham City’
In what is plainly the best possible news we will report for the rest of 2011, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. have confirmed that players of Batman: Arkham City will have a variety of looks to choose from as they pursue the Dark Knight’s mission to stop the madness in the highly anticipated sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game developers have created playable character skins based on Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Earth One (the yet to be released Geoff Johns & Gary Frank graphic novel),Batman: The Animated Series and a classic “1970s Batman” in the style of Neal Adams.
Aaaaaah stop hitting my nerd G-spot, I didn’t bring a change of pants to work. BATMAN BEYOND!

The absurdly talented Dustin Nguyen, penciller (and GORGEOUS cover artist) of the recent Paul Dini run on DETECTIVE COMICS (Collected in BATMAN: PRIVATE CASEBOOK, on sale now, ahem).
Just click through and look at this piece of art and try to tell me I don’t need it blown up to 8 feet by 8 feet on a wall in my house.
It was really, really, really good.
I made the mistake of ordering from Domino’s online once (DON’T JUDGE ME) and now I get an e-mail from them EVERY DAY. But yesterday’s contained this little gem of absurdity.
According to the poll, 81% of male moviegoers and 66 percent of female moviegoers polled June 10-15 intend to see “The Dark Knight” opening weekend. 100% of ticket buyers polled were aware of “The Dark Knight’s” release this summer, compared with 49% of ticket buyers three weeks before “The Incredible Hulk” and 36% of buyers three weeks before “Iron Man.”
“The Incredible Hulk” muscled its way to a $54.5 million opening, while “Iron Man” bowed with $98.6 million. The biggest opening of all-time was last May’s “Spider-Man 3” with $151.1 million, a number I expect “The Dark Knight” to possibly challenge on July 18th.
