Girls Aloud
“Biology”
American pop fans should take note that Amazon UK is currently selling Girls Aloud’s brilliant album Chemistry for just under £4, which currently converts to approximately $6. Amazon UK removes the sales tax for non-UK residents, and with standard shipping to the United States, it comes out to just under $10. That is a pretty amazing deal for a wonderful record that would be severely jacked up on import prices anywhere in North America.
——————
You need to buy this record. I just got four import CDs I’ve been wanting (the Alphabeat album, the Amerie album, and the last two Girls Aloud records since CHEMISTRY) for under $40, shipping included, on Amazon UK. I guess it’s a symptom of the collapsing record industry, but seriously guys, it’s a fire sale over there and you should take advantage.
Keep in mind when browsing and doing currency conversions that US purchases from Amazon UK don’t need to pay VAT, and that portion of the price doesn’t get stripped out until after you start processing your order. So the prices are actually lower than what’s listed on the album’s page.
