Seriously, you guys, this behavior (in case you’re too lazy to click the link: Google is trying to get illustrators to provide artwork for Chrome skins for free, paying them only in the currency of “exposure”) is utterly absurd and unsupportable. Magazines have given illustrators “exposure” for years, but guess what? THEY PAID THEM FOR IT. It’s very simple, Google: if you can’t do something yourself, i.e. make art, you pay someone else to do it. Just because it was done with a pen, and not a computer-science degree from Stanford, doesn’t mean it’s not worth money.
