The Singles Bar: Madonna, “Girl Gone Wild” - Popdust
Award For Accuracy. God, Madonna is so depressing these days.
…I think nobody got tickets because tens of thousands of people wanted to see her, and she’s playing two 500-person rooms?
Just a thought.
(I’m sad about it myself, but not even sort of surprised.)
HOW DID THIS NOT ALREADY CROSS MY DASHBOARD, YOU’RE ALL FUCKING FIRED.
Yeah, so i finally listened to this song and now i’m worried that i may never want to listen to anything else (other than “Big Beast’, obvs). Oh well. So be it.
Usher, “Climax,” produced by Diplo. I am sort of in agreement at the moment. In fact, it is my jam. (Is anyone else using that site? I am intrigued by it, but then, virtually all of the social-music sites are shiny enough to attract my attention before I am distracted by something else and never come back to them.)
Robyn/Whitney - Dancing in Houston
That straight vocal track from How I Will I Know everyone passed around this weekend got put into this awesome Robyn track cause the internet knows what Mikey like.
The R. Kelly / Broken Social Scene mash-up used to be my favorite. It was definitely hard to top, but this is fucking perfect.
Daaaaaaaaamn.
Ryan Tedder is trolling you as hard as he can, Internet; are you going to feed him?
I assume most of you have read this by now, but I’m just reblogging it to indicate my 100% co-sign. He’s made some good records since The Incident, but I honestly have a hard time listening to them, and I really was and still am sickened by how many members of the music industry rushed to his defense after it happened. The whole thing is just sad and disgusting. (And holy fuck, Ken Erlich needs to get fired for that quote.)
Yessss more Portia de Rossi on TV. She was so good on Better Off Ted that it makes my heart hurt. Sounds like a great role for her, too.
Also, I really want to slap NBC for passing on this, but let’s be fair: they’ve got a lot of comedies already, it’s a bit like Parks & Rec, and it’s not an obvious hit given de Rossi’s track record. But it is so on-brand for them it hurts.
